Biography
I am an inquisitive and creative research scientist passionate about developing solutions to medical and biotechnology problems. I have had the opportunity of working with world-distinguished scientists in the fields of microbiology, parasitology, inflammation, innate and adaptive immunity, vaccinology, and development of in vitro diagnostic devices. Over my professional career spanning 25 years I have worked with several experimental models of arthropod-borne diseases leading to the publication of several peer-reviewed articles and patents. I am privileged of having had the opportunity to share this experience with young colleagues and students. I strongly believe that identification of flaws in paradigmatic knowledge is the first step towards the development of solutions to complex biological problems.
